Register now for the November 2023 Citizens' Climate empowerment conference focused on building grassroots strength and coordination.
On Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5, 2023, Citizens’ Climate Lobby will hold a virtual climate empowerment conference titled Grassroots Rising: Leveling Up in the Climate Fight. You can register to attend at no cost and access a packed agenda full of proven organizing insights.
Much of the conference will focus on civic organizing experiences in the United States, but many of the lessons learned and best practices are applicable to any effort to coordinate local volunteer chapters or to make the most out of meetings with public officials. And don’t miss CCI’s Sunday seminar:
Improving Lives through Game-Changing Climate Cooperation
Date: Sunday, November 5, 2023
Time: 1:00 pm EDT (18:00 UTC)
Duration: 90 minutes
In 1992, the world agreed to “prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system”. In 2023, we are seeing dangerous climate impacts play out everywhere, constantly. We may be, however, on the brink of a major breakthrough in the acceleration of global climate action. Negotiations around Article 6.8 of the Paris Agreement are inviting concrete talk about cooperative climate clubs of aligned pollution pricing and incentives, and pointing to a future of the ultimate goal of establishing a future of climate-smart trade.
